To get your MLO license in Delaware you must be at least 18 years old and be willing to submit a background check, credit check and answer disclosure questions.
To become a Delaware MLO you must complete 20 hours of pre-license education approved by the NMLS. In addition, most employers request MLOs to have a bachelor’s degree.
Although no specific job experience is required, most MLO employers prefer to hire candidates that have experience in sales, banking or customer service.
The Delaware MLO exam is composed of two parts, a national and state component. Once you’ve passed your pre-license education requirements and have enrolled for the Delaware MLO license exam through the NMLS, you can start preparing for the test. Exam preparation materials and courses are not required, but many test takers find it helpful to take the test with more confidence.
Personal items are not permitted while you are taking the state exam. This includes cell phones, purses, wallets, scratch paper and calculators. It’s best to leave all personal belongings at home or in your car.
Every year after you receive your MLO you’ll need to complete 8 hours of continuing education. The CE is only good for the year that it is taken so make sure to take all CE courses in the calendar year you need to complete it for. You may also not take the same CE course in two consecutive years.
Allied Real Estate Schools has helped real estate professionals reach their pre-license and continuing education goals for more than twenty years. Allied courses are state approved and have current information to give you the best chance at passing your MLO license test the first time around.
