Course Completion Time Limits

Minimum Time Frame

CalBRE regulation requires that CE students spend maximum of eight (8) hours per day in a correspondence course. Accordingly, you will not be granted access to the course final exams until you’ve met the minimum study time and completed the prerequisite quizzes.

Maximum Time Frame

This course must be completed within one year from the time of initial enrollment.

Quizzes and Final Exam

There are a total of 9 exams contained within this program. The number of questions and the time requirement for each final exam is dictated by the CalBRE per the Commissioner Regulations Article 25, 3007.3(f). You will have the following time limits to complete each final in the following order:

  • Agency: 15 multiple choice questions, 15 Minutes
  • Ethics: 15 multiple choice questions, 15 Minutes
  • Fair Housing: 15 multiple choice questions, 15 Minutes
  • Management and Supervision: 15 multiple choice questions, 15 Minutes
  • Risk Management: 15 multiple choice questions, 15 Minutes
  • Trust Fund Handling: 15 multiple choice questions, 15 Minutes
  • Real Estate Interests and Land Use: 25 multiple choice questions, 25 Minutes
  • The Who, What, and Why of Escrow: 25 multiple choice questions, 25 Minutes
  • Sales Comparison Techniques: 25 multiple choice questions, 25 Minutes

Additionally, per CalBRE rule 3007.3 (c), you may not complete more than fifteen (15) credit hours of final exams during any one 24 hour period. You will not be granted access to additional segments of the final examination for offerings or a package of offerings that exceed fifteen (15) credit hours until the appropriate 24-hour period has lapsed.

If you do not pass the exam, you must retake another version of the exam. If you do not pass the exam on your second attempt, you must start the course from the beginning.

Grading Criteria:

The minimum passing percentage for continuing education courses is 70%. Please note that since you are enrolled in Allied Real Estate School, live lectures are not required to pass the course.

What to Bring

The final exam is open-book, which means that you may use the course booklet when taking the exam. The course booklet is the only book you may use during the final exam. A valid photo I.D. is also required.

When you are ready to take your final exam log-on to https://iboard.alliedschools.com, click “student log-in”, and enter your unique username and password that was given to you at your time of enrollment. You will then click the “final exam” link that is posted on your homepage. Read each question and click the circle next to the answer you select. When you are finished, click “Submit” to see your score. If you have not completed the exam after the allotted time is up, the exam will stop, and it will be graded as is. The final exam cannot be downloaded or printed. Your score on the final exam is your course grade.

Once you have completed the course, please take a moment to fill out the California Bureau of Real Estate’s course and instructor evaluation form (RE 318A) located at: http://www.dre.ca.gov/files/pdf/forms/re318a.pdf.

Refund Policy

Students may cancel an enrollment and request a full refund for any reason up to 7 calendar days from the date of enrollment.* The refund/cancellation request must be made before midnight on the 7th day. Completed courses are not eligible for a refund. Please go to www.alliedschools.com/support to request a cancellation and refund.

*Online Instructor-Led Mortgage Licensing course refunds are prorated based on assignments completed.

Correspondence Course Identification Statement:

Participants shall enter and verify one of the following forms of identification immediately before accessing the final examination:

  1. A current California driver’s license.
  2. A current identification card described in Section 13000 of the California Vehicle Code
  3. Any identification of the participant issued by a governmental agency or a recognized real estate-related trade organization within the immediately preceding five years which bears a photograph, signature and identification number of the participant.
