SAFE stands for The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act). It created a nationwide registration and licensing system for mortgage loan originators.
Mortgage loan originators are generally good at math and statistics as they have to compare figures and financial information for loan approval consideration.
Although it’s not required to utilize test prep material, many test takers feel more confident by using practice tests and study guides before they sit for their state MLO license exam.
The Louisiana mortgage loan originator exam consists of two components – a national section and a state section of which you need to receive a passing grade on each to receive your MLO license.
There are no personal belongings allowed in the MLO license testing centers. It’s advised to leave personal items at home or safely secured in your vehicle while you take your exam. Calculators and white boards for scratch paper will be provided by the testing center at the time of testing.
