In the state of Iowa, to become a mortgage loan originator you must be at least 18 years old and be willing to submit to a credit and criminal background check.
Mortgage loan originators in Iowa are responsible for reviewing and approving mortgage loan applications for businesses or individuals looking for a loan. They use a process called underwriting to assess the loans and credit worthiness of the applicants.
You do not need any specific work experience prior to becoming a mortgage loan originator, although most employers prefer candidates with a background in lending, sales, banking or customer service.
Allied Real Estate Schools has been providing reliable real estate education courses for real estate professionals for more than 20 years. Exam preparation materials are available to help test takers do their very best on the MLO state exam so they don’t have to take it more than once.
