Allied’s 79-Hour Appraisal Trainee Package enables you to complete the hours needed to become a trainee appraiser. You’ll get a solid foundation in the appraisal process, plus learn the generally-accepted standards of appraisal practice and expectations of the supervisor and trainee appraiser in one all-inclusive package.
In this course, you will learn about the appraisal profession, including the regulatory and licensing agencies and the specific levels of real property appraiser classifications. You will distinguish among the real property concepts and characteristics. Legal considerations and economic principles will be reviewed, in addition to characteristics of the real estate markets. You will also learn the three main appraisal methods and how they are used to develop an opinion of value along with the highest and best use, among other topics.
This 15-Hour Equivalent USPAP Course is an approved course for satisfying the Appraiser Qualifications Board’s real property qualifying education requirements. The contents of USPAP is fully explored, utilizing numerous, compelling case examples that enable the student to understand the application of USPAP in real world scenarios, along with assessment opportunities to challenge the student throughout the course. Upon completion of this course, students will have a solid understanding of how USPAP applies to appraisal practice and an appraiser’s development and reporting obligations within the USPAP appraisal process.
The Real Estate Appraisal Trainee/Supervisor course presents an overview of The Appraisal Foundation, its Boards, and their roles in establishing criteria for appraisals and qualifications for credentialed appraisers. Students will learn the AQB minimum qualifications for becoming and remaining a Supervisory Appraiser and for becoming a Trainee Appraiser. Additionally, the course presents the Supervisor/Trainee Relationship from the viewpoint of both the Supervisor and the Trainee. Both must meet their requirements and accept their responsibilities in order for the Trainee to obtain the required hours of experience.

About the Program
Prior to this hands-on training, all students will develop a professional portfolio, as required for the interview process. Students will also develop a professional networking profile.
Throughout the training, students will find helpful and useful tips for a successful training experience. Upon completion of the professional development course, students will utilize their job search abilities and learn how to negotiate for employment as an Appraiser Trainee, if not already enrolled in an apprentice program.

A National Association of Real Estate Appraisers (NAREA) professional trade membership will be included with the Real Estate Appraisal Principles and Practices course.
