What if I need help during the course?
If you have course-related or technical questions during your enrollment, you can call (800) 617-3513 any time during normal business hours. We have “live” representatives to help you. You can reach our support staff via phone, fax or e-mail. We are with you every step of the way!
What is the 110% Money Back Promise?
Pass the real estate license state exam on the first try or get a full refund plus 10% of your entire package purchase price (less tax and shipping). If you are not successful the first time, simply return all course materials, along with your state failure notice within your initial enrollment term, and we will issue you a 110% refund. Refund applies to money that is actually received by Allied from the student, not including outstanding loan balances. What are the system requirements for the online course?
The courses are designed to run on a Windows-based PC. This means that your computer needs to be equipped with a Windows operating system. The browser requirements include: Netscape Navigator 4.0 or greater, and Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater. This will enable you to access the online course material.
What if I use AOL as my Internet Service Provider?
You may still access the Internet using your AOL account, but our site works best with either Netscape or Internet Explorer as the browser. After connecting to the Internet using AOL, minimize the window and launch either Netscape or Internet Explorer to continue working.
How do I access my online course?
It is easy to access your online course through the real estate website (www.realestatelicense.com). Follow four EASY steps to get started:
- Click "Student Login" on the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Select your course from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your username and password.
Begin or continue your course!
Can I log off of my course and come back to it later?
Yes, you can. Our courses "remember" where you left off, so you can return to that section at a later time. Even if you get disconnected from your online service (e.g. you step away from your computer for an extended period of time), the online courses will be bookmarked for your return. The next time you enter your course, you will return to the lesson you were most recently working on.
If I don't pass the Real Estate Principles final exam on the first try, may I take it again? If so, is there an additional charge to take the exam more than once?
You must pass the final exam to get credit for the course. If you do not pass the final exam on the first try, you may take it again at no additional charge.
How and when do I make an appointment for the Washington real estate exam?
You must first complete your real estate education requirements before you can make a reservation for the examination. The examination application, along with testing and licensing information, can be found in the Real Estate Handbook, which is available online at www.promissor.com. The handbook is also available through the state real estate office and various education providers. Please note: You must bring the completed and stamped application to the test center on the day of your examination.
I recently passed the real estate exam. What is the next step?
After passing the exam, you will be provided with a license application. This is the application you need to obtain your first salesperson’s license. The completed application, along with the required fee, should be submitted to Real Estate Licensing at P.O. Box 9048, Olympia, WA 98507-9048. The postmark date or date of hand delivery to the office will be your official date of licensure. Please note: The examination results are valid for one year. You need to apply for your license within this period of time.
I am not licensed as a salesperson, but have 5 years of experience in a real estate-related field. Can I take the broker examination?
You can view the procedures for obtaining approval to take the broker examination using alternate experience in lieu of two years of salesperson licensing on the state real estate website at: www.dol.wa.gov/business/realestate/brokerslicense.html. Click on the "Forms" button, which is located under the "Quick Clicks" heading. The necessary information is located under "waiver procedures for broker examination applicants using alternate experience/qualifications." I am planning to move to Washington and already have a real estate license from another state. What do I need to do to practice as a real estate salesperson or broker in Washington?
You will need to obtain examination approval in the state of Washington. You can do this by contacting the Real Estate Division of the state where you are currently licensed and requesting that they provide you with a License History. The License History and request for examination approval should be mailed to Real Estate Licensing at P.O. Box 9021, Olympia, WA 98507-9021. If you have been actively licensed in the last six months, you will be granted a waiver of the national portion of the Washington exam. Upon approval, you will be sent a Candidate Handbook, along with a booklet on the Law Relating to Licensing of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.
How can I re-activate a license that has been inactive for more than three years?
If you are current with your renewal fees, you may re-activate your license by submitting a completed application along with proof of your completion of a 30 clock-hour course taken within the previous 12 months.
Am I required to submit education to activate my license if I have been inactive for less than one year?
You will be required to submit 30 clock hours of education if you are activating your license within one year of placing your license on an inactive status and the last renewal of your license was as an inactive licensee.
