What if I need help during the course?

What are the computer system requirements?
The courses are designed to run on a Windows-based PC. This means that your computer needs to be equipped with a Windows operating system. The browser requirements include: Netscape Navigator 4.0 or greater, and Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater. This will enable you to access the online course material.
What if I use AOL as my Internet Service Provider?
You may still access the Internet using your AOL account, but our site works best with either Netscape or Internet Explorer as the browser. After connecting to the Internet using AOL, minimize the window and launch either Netscape or Internet Explorer to continue working.
How do I access the online exam preparation materials?
It is easy to access your online real estate course through the real estate website (www.realestatelicense.com). Follow four EASY steps to get started:
- Click "Student Login" on the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Select your course from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your unique password.

How do the exam preparation materials prepare me for the state exam?
The exam prep materials give you a unique, inside look at what the state exam is going to be like. What education do I need to get my Georgia real estate license?
To become licensed in the state of Georgia, you must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of equivalency. You must complete 75 hours of pre-licensing salesperson’s courses that are approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. (You also have the option to complete your required hours through real estate courses at an accredited college or university. Call for details.) After you get your license, you have one year to take a 25-hour salesperson’s course to keep your license active and up to date.
Do I need to complete any experience requirements to get my Georgia real estate license?
No, there are no experience requirements to complete to get your Georgia real estate license.
How do I enroll in the Georgia real estate license exam?
The Georgia real estate license exam is administered via computer by Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP) at four testing centers throughout the state of Georgia. The examinations are offered five days a week in Marietta and Lilburn, and Thursday through Saturday in Macon and Savannah.
If you are currently enrolled in a pre-license real estate course, you can apply for the Georgia real estate license exam using the REAL computer application system. If you are not currently enrolled in a pre-license real estate course, you should contact AMP for a Candidate Handbook. The handbook contains information on fees and locations of test sites. When do I apply for my Georgia real estate license?
You must apply for your Georgia real estate license within twelve months of the date you took the examination. If you wait until after that period, you will have to re-take the examination.
What are the continuing education requirements?
As a licensed real estate salesperson, you are required to complete 24 hours of Commission approved continuing education during each four-year renewal period. Please note that a renewal period begins four years prior to the current renewal due date. (e.g. If your renewal due date is April 30, 2006, your continuing education must be completed between May 1, 2002 and April 30, 2006.)
